Visiting student

Students who are enrolled at other colleges or universities can also take advantage of the courses offered by the College of Sankt Georgen. They must submit an application for admission as a visiting student including their certificate of enrollment. As a prerequisite for admission as a visiting student, fees must be transferred at least 2 bank days before registration (see fee schedule).

Visiting students cannot take exams at the College of Sankt Georgen. If they wish to obtain certificates or attestations of participation in study courses, a corresponding application must be submitted to the student secretariat. However, no forms from the College can be used for these certificates.

This regulation does not apply to the supplementary study programs "Islam and Christian-Muslim Encounters" (“Islam und christlich-muslimische Begegnung”) and "Media and Public Communications" (“Medien und öffentliche Kommunikation”). The certificates of these study programs can also be acquired by guest auditors and visiting students.

It is recommended to submit the visiting student application online. It is also possible to download the application form here (PDF file, 32 KB) or use the paper form attached to the List of Persons and Lectures. In either case, the application must be submitted at least four weeks before the course start date. The prerequisite for admission as a visiting student is that the fees have been credited to the account of the College (see Gebührenordnung).

If the application is approved, the applicant will receive a visiting student certificate by e-mail.

Guest auditor

The Sankt Georgen College of Philosophy and Theology enables people interested in philosophy and theology to participate in individual courses. Upon application, the Rector can admit those who wish to supplement their knowledge in the philosophical or theological field and who, due to their education or profession, are able to participate in lectures, seminars or exercises. The admission is valid for one semester at a time.

Participation in seminars and similar courses requires the prior consultation and agreement of the professor in charge.

Guest auditors cannot take exams at the College. If they wish to receive certificates or attestations of participation in study courses, they must submit a corresponding application to the student secretariat. No forms from the College are used for the certificates.
