By train:

• Timetables:
  • German Train Timetable. You can indicate as your destination the trolley stop "Balduinstraße, Frankfurt (Main)".
  • Public transports. You can indicate as your destination the trolley stop "Balduinstraße, Frankfurt (Main)".
     
• If your train stops both at the Central Station ("Hauptbahnhof") and at South Station ("Frankfurt Süd"), it is closer to get off at Frankfurt Süd.
   
• from the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) to Sankt Georgen:      (  as PDF file for print )
   
  • Alternative 1 (19 minutes, no need to change trains):
    • you take trolley #16 in the direction "Offenbach / Stadtgrenze"
      • Buy your ticket before you enter the trolley; look for a green ticket dispenser. Select "Einzelfahrt Frankfurt"; different price according to the time.
    • The journey takes 19 minutes to the stop "Balduinstraße".
    • The Balduinstraße stop is 100 meters past the entrance of Sankt Georgen. From Balduinstraße stop, walk back 100 meters and you will find the front gate. Signs will lead you from the gate to the reception and information desk.
       
  • Alternative 2 (from Monday to Friday during the day a bit faster, but with changing trains):
    • take S-Bahn (local express) S 1 (dir. »Rödermark-Ober-Roden«), S 2 (dir. »Dietzenbach«), S 8 or S 9 (dir. "Hanau" or "Offenbach-Ost") to the station "Mühlberg" (9 minutes)
      • Make sure to buy a ticket before you enter the train; look for a green ticket dispenser. The same ticket is valid for S-Bahn and trolley. Select "Einzelfahrt Frankfurt"; different price depending on the time of the day.
    • then the trolley #15 or #16 in the direction "Offenbach / Stadtgrenze" to the second stop ("Balduinstraße") (3 minutes).
    • The Balduinstraße stop is 100 meters past the entrance of Sankt Georgen. From Balduinstraße stop, walk back 100 meters and you will find the front gate. Signs will lead you from the gate to the reception and information desk.
       
• from the South Station ("Frankfurt Süd") to Sankt Georgen:      (  as PDF file for print )
  • take the trolley #15 or #16 in the direction "Offenbach / Stadtgrenze" to the seventh stop ("Balduinstraße") (8 minutes).
    • Buy your ticket before you enter the trolley; look for a green ticket dispenser. Select "Einzelfahrt Frankfurt"; different price according to the time.
  • The Balduinstraße stop is 100 meters past the entrance of Sankt Georgen. From Balduinstraße stop, walk back 100 meters and you will find the front gate. Signs will lead you from the gate to the reception and information desk.
     
• From the Airport to Sankt Georgen (needs about 30 minutes):      (  as PDF file for print )
  • take S-Bahn (local express, partly underground) S 8 or S 9 in the direction "Hanau" or "Offenbach-Ost" to the station "Mühlberg" (20 minutes)
    • Make sure to buy a ticket before you enter the train; look for a green ticket dispenser. The same ticket is valid for S-Bahn and trolley. Type first the area code 50 (Frankfurt) and then select "Einzelfahrschein"; different price depending on the time of the day.
  • then the trolley #15 or #16 in the direction "Offenbach / Stadtgrenze" to the second stop ("Balduinstraße") (3 minutes).

By Car:

From the direction of Munich:   (  as PDF file for print )   (For a larger view click on the map.)

• If you come to the "Offenbacher Kreuz" (A 3 crossing A 661) from the direction of Munich / Würzburg, get into the lane for the A 661. Immediately after that, follow the signs to the B 3 in the direction of "F-Sachsenhausen".
• After 3 km, the B 3 turns right (direction "Stadtmitte"); you are now on "Darmstädter Landstraße".
• After having passed two breweries, at the foot of the hill, turn right in the direction of »Offenbach«. You will find yourself now on »Offenbacher Landstraße«.
• Go straight on for about two kilometers; after a while you follow the trolley line. Between the districts of Sachsenhausen and Oberrad (to your left: trees and fields) you will pass the long wall of Sankt Georgen. Do not miss the entrance with the large old gate, house number 224.

• use the A 5 until Bad Homburger Kreuz
• then the A 661 in the direction Offenbach / F-Ost
• After the bridge over the Main river, take exit OF-Kaiserlei
• immediately after that, take the far right lane for getting on the B 43 (direction "Sachsenhausen", "Oberrad")
• After 1 km, at a traffic light turn left (direction "Oberrad"). You are now on "Wasserhofstraße", which crosses under the railway.
• Follow the curves of that street; at the end turn right into the "Offenbacher Landstraße".
• You come to Sankt Georgen after 700m (on the left side); the entrance is 100m after the beginning of a wall.

• A 3 (Köln - Würzburg)
• After the Mönchhofdreieck, the autobahn expands to five lanes; take one of the two right lanes (direction "Frankfurt" or "Flughafen" / airport); you will cross under the A 3.
• For about 6 km, follow the signs to "Frankfurt" or "Stadtmitte".
• Then, quite suddenly, turn right in the direction of "Sachsenhausen"; you are now on "Mörfelder Landstraße".
• Go straight ahead (with some smaller curves) for about 6 km; the "Offenbacher Landstraße" is a continuation of the "Mörfelder Landstraße", on which you come in.
• Between the districts of Sachsenhausen and Oberrad (to your left: trees and fields) you are passing the long wall of Sankt Georgen. Do not miss the entrance with the large old gate, house number 224.

• At the Frankfurter Kreuz take the A 3 in the direction of Würzburg.
• Take the exit Frankfurt-Süd.
• Then follow the signs for "Frankfurt / Stadtmitte" for approximately 2 kilometers.
• Then, quite suddenly, turn right in the direction of "Sachsenhausen"; you are now on "Mörfelder Landstraße".
• Go straight ahead (with some smaller curves) for about 6 km; the "Offenbacher Landstraße" is a continuation of the "Mörfelder Landstraße", on which you come in.
